Amos was enjoying the bliss of been in a relationship and had everything going well for him the way he wanted. His girlfriend, Blessing, loved him so much and took good care of him.
Their relationship was like it was consummated and blessed in heaven, or so it seemed. Money had never been their problem because Amos though a student, worked part-time as a columnist in one of the big newspapers firm in the country with a fat salary and all the perks that come with the office.
Blessing was loyal and a dedicated girlfriend who valued the inborn qualities of her boyfriend. Her love and care for her cherished boyfriend was undiluted, unwavering and passionate.
As a saying goes even though you put a bird in a well decorated cage, filled it with food and it is very comfortable, the bird would still not be satisfied. If you dare to open the cage door just for once, the bird will fly away, and that is the last you will see of it.
Blessing had a friend called Victoria, who was a socialite and cunning. Victoria had convinced Blessing into having a boyfriend on the side, promising to introduce her to mature men and she (Blessing) would live in a paradise and without Amos (her boyfriend) knowing.
Victoria did the matchmaking and boom, Blessing became friends to one senator Chief Michael. Chief Michael had promised her heaven on earth, making Blessing to call quit of her long-time relationship with Amos and eloped with the Senator.
Exactly one year later, Chief Michael dumped and cast aside Blessing, telling her straight-up never to call his number again or she will have it hot.
The following week, the Senator changed his location and in tears Blessing went back to her former boyfriend to make amends and beg for forgiveness.
To her shock and utter amazement, she met Victoria in her boyfriend’s arms, perking him with adoration. Victoria had married Blessing’s Amos.
“No this can’t be!” she screamed and fainted. She was revived some few hours later at the hospital.
Victoria had snatched Blessing’s boyfriend for good. Blessing became troubled, homeless and hopeless. She became a recluse, living in abject poverty in one of the remote area of the city.
It is a flowing story. I admire how well you narrate it, although i get the feeling after reading it, that it is somewhat incomplete...and lack that climax i was expecting. Is there a continuation? I also feel like it does not follow from the story title.
Otherwise you write well.
