I agree with you about people seeing you the way you see yourself but sometimes its really hard...
For instance, m very dark in complexion...
Growing up, people mocked me about it and this really affected me no matter how hard I tried to feel comfortable in my skin...
It took maturity and a lot of motivational talks to myself to get out of it...
I believe sometimes, not believing in one's self is as a result of the pressures from the environment...

I know it is not easy to have that self confidence and believe in yourself but it is always worth it at the end of the day. Most of us did not grow the way we wished to. They mocked us for how we look, how we walk, how we talk. But the day I realized no one can make me feel bad without my consent was the day I freed myself.
