RE: The Cloud Baker

in #story7 years ago

At one time, my wife and I wanted to take pictures of interesting clouds and put them in a coffee-table book. You would look at a cloud picture and try to imagine the designs in it, then turn the page and see several smaller images of the same cloud with outlines of designs that we, or others we had asked, had seen in the cloud. I still love looking at clouds. Thanks for the story too. A very sweet tale I can't wait to share with my grandchildren.

That’s a great idea for a book, and a very fun idea for a Steemit contest/ art collaboration. I will help you promote it as best I can if you start it. That doesn’t say much because I’m not a great promoter, but I’ll do what I can.

It reminds me of an ABC exercise I do in my English lessons sometimes. I write a big mess of squiggly, curvy, crossing lines on the blackboard and ask students to find letters in the tangled mass of lines and outline them. It’s always interesting to see what they find.

I would be very happy if you shared my story with your grandchildren. Thanks!!

That’s not a bad idea. A Steemit contest where people download the image, trace what they see, and upload their results. I’m gonna think about that.

Let me know about it. I will gladly take part. I love to observe clouds and make pictures of them. Thank you!

I'll have to start looking for some good clouds, like I used to see in Guam and in Colorado. Here, in Southern California, I haven't seen many good ones, mostly chem-trails. I'll carry my camera and keep an eye out and see if I can make something of it.

Drop me a link when/if you start this up. Another commenter left a cloud picture in the comments below. Maybe you could begin with that. I can see at least three animals in it.

OK. I'll start looking for interesting clouds.
