Poetry: Winter Winter

in #story7 years ago (edited)

Ok, my first post after introduction. I hope you will enjoy a bit of poetry.

Winter Winter

Let me kiss you hand, oh gentle Winter.

let me take pause to gaze upon the beauty

of your snowflakes as they gently caress

the air, pause for a time, then lovingly

kiss the earth and the blanket that you weave.

Share with me your mysteries of your forested

land, trees barren of their summer regalia, the

limbs singing their song of sleep. Oh Winter

solace show me the rapture of your song,of

gray clouds and whispering winds.

I remember a love and Winter so long ago

we would wrap up and sit underneath the

willow holding on to what we had and the

day was quieted by your silence. We would

read d to each other....the day so perfect.

Oh let me find solace my old friend Winter

in your beauty and grace. Protect my love

with flawless silken covers of snow until

I can protect her and our hearts once again

beat as one.
