RE: Camping Observation: We Were Not Prepared Pt.6

in #story7 years ago

It certainly doesn't sound like your trip has gone as it was planned! Although it does make for a good story :)

I did want to ask if the pictures were taken from your trip? Alot of people have been getting flagged lately for not sourcing where their pictures have come from. I try to find people who have not sourced and guide them in doing so before the bigger fish come and flag. Helping the community succeed is a major goal of mine so if you need any help with that just let me know.

Is my current method of hyperlinking to the source sufficient, or are there any official Steemit guide lines in terms of attribution format, and whats the go with images under the "Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license" where the pictures are "free for personal and even for commercial use" and "attribution is not required"? Appreciate your helpThank for the reply @magicalmoonlight, I've been wondering about this for a while actually.

oops, sorry you are correct. On my phone it doesn't show that you can directly click the picture and go to the source. That is actually how I do it too as long as Steemit lets me. Sometimes I do have to add the actual hyperlink with the words image source under the picture. However, you have done it correctly and the images are from a free to use site. I just wanted to make sure, I have seen new users get flagged for simply not knowing better and I like to try and help before that happens. You don't have anything to worry about though because you are doing it correctly 😊

For the sake of not getting flagged as spam or plagiarism, everyone still puts where the picture came from even though the site says you don't have too. I actually wondered about that at first too but it makes it easier for everyone to know that it was from a free site. I just learned about all of these picture rules about a month ago so I try my best to help out others.

Appreciate you looking out for others ^^
