Former Manchester United star David Beckham is proud of the inspiration shared by Sripun, a student of Junior High School (SMP) Negeri 17 Semarang. Through his personal Instagram account @davidbeckham, Sripun is called a teenager who inspires.
"I am very proud to have the opportunity to meet Sripun, 15, to see his work dispel the violence at school," Beckham wrote on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.
Beckham tells Sripun is one of the victims of abuse and feels alienated his friends at school.
"But, (he) focuses on supporting his other friends through hard times," wrote the Victorian husband.
Sripun, said Beckham, was nominated by his colleagues to be a maker of change and has inspired many others to stop harassment. Thus, learning activities through education can take place safely.
Beckham's presence to Semarang in order to spread the message of anti-harassment. Because, after no longer a football player, Beckham was lined up as an anti-bullying ambassador of the UN organization, Unicef.
During his visit to Indonesia, Beckham admitted to being impressed with the anti-malice Unicef program that has made the school environment a positive area and safe children to grow and achieve success.
"Young girls like Sripun and many more that I meet in Indonesia are our future My7 Fund for Unicef program is a mission to help children, especially women, break down threats that steal their potential," wrote The Posh Boy, nicknamed Beckham .
