School districts don't pay attention to the real concerns of children saftey!

This is usually not my forte however, many of us parents have this worry every morning and every afternoon!
So How come it is not the school districts first concern in America, or even around the world? It seems like every morning as my children cross the road to get on their school bus about four to five vehicles decide it is okay to speed right pass knowing that at any moment a child can possibly be crossing that same side. I have had to actually grab another child before he was run over. This is a real issue that needs addressing and I have brought it to bus garage's attention with nothing but a childish remark "there is nothing We can do"
I have met several parents who have lost their children due to the lack of regulation of bus safety for elementary students. I have called and expressed my concerns with lack of concern in return.
I fear if nothing is done we will lose more children each year for the lack of driver awareness that Is against the law to run a stop school bus! We should all petition that children under the 9th grade should either be picked up on the same side of the road or a crossing guard should be hired at every stop that requires children to cross high traffic areas or when the speed limit for a vehicle reaches past 15 MPH
