RE: What you need to know about alchemy

in #story7 years ago

I think it's showing up mostly in the arts. Especially in the psychedelic festival culture, there is a global movement of artists, musicians, performers, thinkers, all pushing the boundaries of the heart, mind and soul... Though I think that this culture has been missing a critical component, which is the traditional alchemical wisdom... I co-founded @audioalchemy with @hedflux to explore the intersection of music and alchemy, and we are applying alchemical wisdom to the process of creating music. The results have been lifechanging for ourselves and our community. We've been hosting a yearly retreat in hawaii where we invite musicians to come learn how to apply alchemy to their craft- - this has resulted in a global network of audio alchemists working with these principles and creating alchemically inspired music.

This is just one example, and I intuit that we will see this sort of thing popping up in every creative discipline. After all, no matter what you're working on, we're all engaged with our personal Great Work in our own ways :)

Yes, the psychedelic culture has alchemy too Alchemy comes from the unconscious, and the things that work with it can be carriers of alchemical knowledge.
