A piece of a man's skull sold for $ 3500 .. Here's why!
On April 8, 1991, Swedish singer Per Yngve Ohlin, nicknamed "Dead" and a member of the Mayhem band, killed himself using a member's pistol.
On November 28, 2018, a piece of his skull was sold for $ 3,500 through the Serial Killers Ink online store. Surprisingly, this piece of skull was available for less than two days before someone bought it; but the question remains: What is the motive behind someone buying a piece of the skull of a dead person?
In fact, the suicide of Per Yngve Ohlin or "Dead" was not a shock to his friends. Dead was in fact obsessed by the idea of death and that's why he was named.
Most of Mayhem's songs talked about the theme of death frequently, so that Dead was burying his underwear underground before the live shows so that it smelled like a grave.
During direct performances, Dead was cutting his arm with broken bottles and pouring his blood on stage. His "loyalty" to Black Metal was so deep that he once lost consciousness after a direct show because of his loss of much blood. Even his colleagues claimed he was carrying a rotten raven in his bag to breathe the scent of death.
The person who bought a piece of a dead skull seems to have a heavy burden on his life, or may be obsessed with the idea of death, such as Dead, or he may also be obsessed with Dead himself, so he decided to keep his remains to keep him forever alive.
