As a simple Canadian girl myself, the move to Germany was one exciting journey. To begin I flew 12 hours, for a person who has been travelling most of her life, I have to admit the airplanes have become very modern but still for an overnight flight across the ocean it's not as comfy as my own bed. Since I didn't sleep much the night before the flight and I can't sleep on airplanes I was pretty sleepy and not to mention delusional when we landed, I can imagine it was very funny to watch me walk around for others. After a couple of days sleeping through the sunny days and walking around the kitchen eating at night like a racoon, I started to get used to the time difference. Having mostly everything settled I thought to myself "hey I just moved to Germany but why not visit Austria" and so I had a 3-day visit in Austria. I have to say Europe is fascinating and more modern than expected. I'm still a little confused on how they drive so fast on a street that's as small as a sidewalk and never straight. I personally love to sleep and the curtains they have here is nothing like what we had in Canada. It's like a wall that closes down in front of the window and you could sleep till 11 am and still think it's night time which is how I had a few confusing mornings.
But what I love the most is the food. I, of course, love to eat but then again who doesn't. The food is so different it's fresh, natural, and delicious. My personal favourite is called "späzle" It's similar to noodles and it's a German name, also their potato salad is just to die for.
In Austria, the mountains are beautiful.
When you're there in person it still just looks like your looking at a picture cause they're so magnificent that you'll think your dreaming.
Although at night they seem to look a bit frighting to me, either I'm crazy or it really does look scary underneath the night sky. Both can be easily true.
There is so much I can talk about I've had quite a few trips and would be glad to share it with you all. If your interested stand by there will be more soon.
