It seemed that I have already forgotten of how I used to be fit 4 years ago, when I used to be an athletic and fitness junky.
Now I have realized how much I gained weight from 50 kg 4 years ago as I can still remember, and now 56 kg looking so guilty and body conscious and could no longer wear my used-to-be-worn skinny jeans. Sad to say I had to keep them in my closet because they are idle.
My old friends occasionally see me walking down the streets and I am fed up by their stupid remarks like:
"Hey, you've changed a lot Rach!. You're gaining weight"
or
"Hey Rach, What are you up to?, Aren't you having fitness sessions?, Would you like to avail a free subscription in my fitness gym? It's really for free for now for beginners and to those who wanna lose weight. You might wanna avail this coz you seemed to be needing it."
and I found those very frustrating.
Few years ago, I used to play Badminton and Football and would even challenge for a 50 meters sprint in less than expected minutes. I used to jog at least 3 times a week and could still find leisure time for myself.
But because of my sudden transition in my career, everything has changed including my routine. Now I can barely find time going to a fitness center with my buddies because procrastination really prevails. Most of the time, I would think exercising is way unnecessary and I would rather use my remaining vacant time in watching movies, having food trips and rather finishing up my take-home work.
Well, I guess it's time for me to get back to the way I used to be. To be fit, stronger and healthier. Because You know, the body works for a living, and without a healthy and strong body, a person cannot be any productive at all or perhaps might get fired due to recurrent sick leaves.
So here I am, trying to adapt the muscle pains, profuse sweating and mild fatigue for the second time around...
At first, Its really not easy.
The warm up felt so good until I started running on a treadmill
..and that was for 20 minutes.
Then felt the serious muscle pains on both of my thighs and legs with some sort of Weighted lunges in 20 reps and 5 sets...
Core exercises aren't just easy as it seems like Sit-ups...
Because I still have to lose some weight so that I can endure several reps of this exercise.
Among of the exercises that I have trained, the Battle Ropes are quite freakishly tricky. Because at first, I thought It's easy to form few waves by forceful arm movements. And then after about 20 seconds, I started to feel extreme palpitations and fatigue.
No pain no gain :-)
@eliseuy yes! indeed!
