Nathaniel and Egwa were friends in South Africa, Nathaniel a wanian harboured Egwa through out his stay in South Africa. They met when Egwa attended his church in the Johanebourg suburb.
Egwa leter got a job and left Nathaniel’s house when he made a huge received his saving from his salaries. They were best friends that hardly conceal any secret from each other. Egwa had once visited Nathaniel’s home town in Botswana, for his sister’s wedding.
One day, Egwa received a call from his home town in his home country for an important ceremony he needs to attend. However he invited Nathaniel which he accepted eagerly. One week later the two friends set off for their destination. They boarded a flight and arrived the country in hours time
(This is my country. Do you like it?” He asked Nathaniel as they took a taxi to his home town.
They finally arrived Egwa home town. They were warmly welcome by the almost unclad children, old women, young ladies and men. The people were mostly farmers, fishermen and blacksmith. Egwa was seen as one of the successful people in the village because he was one of the four educated and well-traveled people in the village.
“Who is this man with you?” They asked him curiously about Ezekiel.
“He is my friend.” He replied they both took their bath and ate the supper prepared by Egwa’s wife. She was also educated as he, she was a respectful young and elegant woman, who cares nothing but her home.
After the dinner, they had a short discussion in which his wife was involved, Nathaniel was shored his room where he passed the might, but to his greatest surprise. Egwa wife decided to spend the night with him in his new bedroom. This led to an argument that made Egwa came inside.
