The woman had heard a lot of his lies over the years so she was not deceived anymore, it was this same lie that he had deceived her with, and she had thought he was a man with prospects and after being married to him for many years with the same story, yet there was no change and then she had made up her mind that he was just a man filled with deceit.
The most annoying part about the whole situation was the fact that her husband had refused change, he seemed comfortable with his state of poverty, she had tried den that maybe that will make him change.
But, he preferred to starve to death than to rise up from his slothfulness. All Uchenna's friend soon abandoned him and they will go through another route whenever they see him coming, they tried all they could to avoid him because he was always demanding for either money or food from them.
He was gradually becoming a pest to his friends and when it became obvious to him, he would only shake his head and promise himself that he must become rich and when he becomes rich, he would teach them a great lesson.
Yet, he never did anything that would make him rich, rather he spent most of his time sleeping or day-dreaming.
