I grew you, you owe me

in #story7 years ago

Kind time, I want to tell you one of a thousand stories related to my mother. I do not want to say that it is very bad, but how a person is not particularly successful, but to start a little about yourself. I am a girl of fifteen and I draw in public, I have completed art education and that's why in me years from 12 the idea of drawings on the body, popularly called tattoos, caught fire. At 14 I was brought to the master to show my "painting talent" and after that was not officially arranged. Naturally, I get a salary, but only half, it's about 10-15 thousand.

Every month, my mother, under the pretext of "I gave birth to you, you owe me" takes my earnings and distributes it so that the most part is spent on it (cosmetics, creams, etc.). If the case comes up to the fact that I want to ask for my money, in order to buy myself something, a situation begins which it is simply impossible to endure. She looks me around from head to toe, makes her face look like I asked her to eat a grub, then she says "I will not give you anything if I buy it, it's only with me and only with my approval, and then suddenly you'll spend on yourself too much". I do not know what to do and how to withdraw my money. Maybe there will be advice, but if not, then just thanks for being able to "listen" to my anger.

I am unaware of the laws governing under aged wages and the associated parental rights. I would assume your only real chance at finding answers is to approach a lawyer or someone else qualified to answer your questions.

Don't give up on your talent because of this. Use your frustrations to empower your artwork and become more in demand. When you gain control over your own funds you can tell your mother that you have paid your way thus far and now it's her turn to pay for the privilege of having you in her life. Best of luck.
