Previously on Phantom;
Ann was up all night thinking and replaying the events that happened and it didn't take long for her to notice it was morning again and Greg was finally awake and getting ready to start his day. He noticed the mood Ann was in and decided to find out what was wrong.
Greg: Hey honey, what's wrong?
Ann still finding it difficult on how to tell Greg the whole encounter, simply replied;
Ann: We gotta get out of this house.
Chapter 3: The Revelation
Greg: You must be joking, we just got here and now you wanna leave, especially now that am getting use to this place.
Ann: Honey, at first when you said you had weird feelings about this place, I was wrong to ignore and disapprove the fact, but now my eyes are open and I clearly see it now. We need to leave this place.
Greg: Why now? And by the look of things, I was wrong...this place is nice, I don't get why you're saying this and besides you were clearly having a good time yesterday, why the sudden change?
Ann bite her lips trying to figure out a way to get pass that question, but it seems that the right thing to do is to simply tell her husband the truth even if the truth does sounds crazy.
Ann: This house is hunted! I know that because I saw a ghost last night which scared the hell out of me.
Greg paused for a moment and stared at her, with his eye brow raised;
Greg: All this because you saw a ghost? Do you even hear yourself, Like Wow! so that's the best reason you can come up with huh?
Ann: Greg am serious, this is really happening, we need to leave now.
Greg: Well we are not leaving, this place is perfectly fine and I haven't seen or suspected anything since I got here. We are sticking to our plan and staying here for few days, that's not going to change, you aren't getting your way this time.
Greg left the room abruptly, not waiting for Ann to say or oppose his judgement and Ann is left all alone once again to her thoughts on the matter. Ann stayed in bed for the whole day, with Greg coming frequently to checkup on her and to give her food, both couple didn't speak to one another for the rest of the day and it was eating her up from the inside. She wasn't comfortable staying in the house and with what she encountered last night, she fear they both may be in danger if they remain here. She was in bed for so long, so tired and lost deep within her thoughts that led her to sleep, she dreamt about the encounter and this time it was different, everything around her seems to be moving slowly, it was like time was slowing down and she stared at the figure, the ghost that had frightened her move closer to her very slowly and this time she could clearly see her eyes staring straight at her, the ghost said something different this time, something she wasn't even expecting to hear, "Dont trust him" and in that moment she woke up.
Ann woke up to a dark room, with Greg by her side fast asleep, she checked the time and found it to be 12:30am, she was so tired that she slept the whole day. She stood up and went to the restroom, she was in there for a few minutes still reflecting on her dream. She got out and decided to get a glass of water before heading to bed, thats when she heard the sitting room door creak open, she went there and found muddy footprint on the floor leading straight to the cabin door with the ghost standing by it looking straight at Ann. Ann just stood there, frightened and unable to move, with her heart racing in her chest not knowing what the ghost would do next. The ghost raised her hand towards Ann, telling Ann to come to her. Ann felt compelled and couldn't fight her body as it obeyed the will of the ghost. She walked towards the ghost until she was face to face with it, looking straight at her, the ghost said "You need to know the truth". Ann managed to speak softly with the evidence of fright in her voice "What truth?". The ghost opened the cabin door and walked out, taking Ann with her and leading her to the back of the cabin, Ann although still afraid and compelled at the same time realise that the ghost is trying to tell her something, something important.
The Ghost took her to the back of the cabin, the floor covered with grass and fallen leaves from trees, and right there the Ghost revealed a hatch to Ann, hidden from sight with the help of the leaves. The Ghost opened it and pointed for Ann to go in and then disappeared. Ann was having a second thought about going inside but a part of her was curious to find out what it is the ghost wants to show her. Ann went inside and discovered it was a small cellar, she switched on the light and found a desk by the side, it seems to be the only thing down there.
She went to the desk not really knowing what she was looking for and opened the drawer, only to find pictures of women tied up and killed and also many wedding pictures with Greg and several women. Ann was devastated and couldn't hold back the tears, she never thought the one person she loves and trust would actually end up betraying her and becoming a killer, this must be what the ghost was trying to tell her as she thought to herself. The Ghost appeared again to Ann in the cellar and walked up to her and used her hand to touch Ann's head, thereby bringing Ann to a state of trance. The Ghost showed Ann a brief vision of her life before she died and its revealed that the ghost was formally married to Greg, just like Ann. Within the vision, Ann found herself in an empty room with the ghost there with her but this time, the ghost looks properly dressed with her hair nice and tied. Then the ghost spoke to Ann, "Hello Ann my name is Sophia and the man you know as Greg is not who you think he is"
Ann looked down sadly, trying not to stare at her
Ann: Yeah, I totally understand now, he is a liar and a killer, he probably killed you too.
Sophia: He is not just a killer, he is far more than that, he is a caretaker to an abomination, a beast from the underworld known as the Shredder.
