Hey guys, it's been a while since last I wrote. Honestly, I opened up steemit a few times in the past few days only to find that I didn't feel like I had anything to say.
The truth is that I did but because it wasn't funny or positive or interesting, I didn't want to write about it. I however decided to update you guys on a few changes in the lives of Mr and Mrs Goldencookie.
Lately we have been trying to get a medical aid and it seems like every block is thrown at us. See a few years back I noticed a lump in my chest. Feeling worried I went to the doctor who then sent me for an ultrasound to receive a better image, me being so young and the placement of the lump he didn't think it wise to put me through a mammogram. During the ultrasound no image of the lump was picked up and they decided to then do an fna (fine needle aspiration). For those who don't know what that is. It is basically when the push a needle into a lump or growth to try and collect some cells to biopsy.
I hate needles and this one was basically in my face. I was the most terrifying moment of my life. As it turns out the lump seemed to be scar tissue of an injury and I was given the green light.
My husband in the light of honesty mentioned the scare when applying and they are now demanding a mammogram image. Something I never had done and when I went for the pap smear last week, the doctor couldn't feel the lump anymore...
He also disclosed that as a child he had asthma which he had now outgrown. They wanted to also have a history of meds and things, he can't remember what he had for dinner let alone a complicated name of some inhaler he hasn't used since he was 9.
Sigh, the complications in life.
My husband also said goodbye to his two little sisters this weekend. He was incredibly upset over this bit didn't want to talk about it.
Hopefully it won't be forever and we might join them soon. Atleast that is the dream.
Not all news was bad, we found out my brother in law got engaged and will be getting married the day before we celebrate our anniversary. We might not be able to make it to the wedding but we are very excited for them.
Xoxo

I am new at steemit. Not blogging yet.hope you support me in my introduction post.
What a harrowing experience with the lump and i hope you find a lasting solution to it...
to your brother in law getting engaged, you must find a way to go as that solidifies family bond.
For your husbands two sisters, you can always find a way to get to them as you wish.
Congrats to your brother in-law.
I wish you all the best with your health. I understand how scary finding the lump was.

It's nice that you highlighted that we are all human. Somethimes we tend to think that its only us that go through trials. I wish people would do what you have done and post about real life situations rather than a make up story of how life ought to be.
By the way the guy in the picture literally looks identical to someone I know, whom I met in Australia. Weirded out!
