There is some kind of magic that flows through someone when they wake up late for work.
Suddenly the task that generally takes them approximately 30mins to complete takes but a few second.
This was the case this morning in my house as I struggled waking up myself, now usually Mr goldencookie's alarm wakes me and I wake him. I tried that this morning but to no avail. Suddenly something in the back of my mind said look at the time.
The little annoyance that I had to climb over my husband to look at his phone soon melted away to panic as I realized we not only slept in a little late. He was really late.
With no tact at all I basically almost yell at my husband to wake up because he is late. He then too took the time to look at his phone first. I have never soon anyone get out of bed that fast.
He got dressed even faster and was going to walk out the door without giving me a kiss a few (like 2 min later)but I reminded him and he at least took his time kissing me goodbye.
I have to admit that although watching my husband get dressed like a magician was funny, it is not really something I would wish on anyone.
Good morning Steemians and have a great day
xoxo
@thegoldencookie
Haha great post.
Somehow even when my alarm isn't ringing I wake up about 5mins before it is too late all sweaty and hearth beating fast. It's like this inbuilt alarmclock in my head which wont let me get late for work.
My husband has a tactic, he has like 20 alarms to wake him up gradually... only today that didn't work. Before me he would also not wake up from his alarms (he's like the sleeping dead). His alarm would wake up his family or house mates and they will wake him up...
Crazy how you could sleep through so many alarms :D
Well I guess I should have a few more alarms to wake me up too.
Much harder to oversleep when you're freelance. This post was hilarious. Maybe you'd like my most recent article.

I agree but my husband has a full time job with solid hours. I'm going to be honest with you, the title seems scary but I shall take a look
Thanks for taking a look. Not meant to be scary, but funny :)
Heh, fun memes, true story.
Just upvoted you - Hope you will follow me back !
I love memes
I had this situation only once in my life...
I've felt terrible mentaly and physically all day after becosuse I was ashamed.
I know all can asleep but it's not my style
Not my style either. My husband and I have a few things in common, one of them being we both hate being late.
Never lating women? - you're lucky man!
I'm a very low maintenance kind of girl, I have curly hair so it looks better if I just wash it and have it naturally dry (15 min cut from needing to dry hair). If i wear makeup its just a bit of foundation, eyeliner and mascara (literally doesn't even take me 5 minutes to apply) and my clothes are easy because I mostly wear black or blue. It takes me 45 mins to get ready if its a slow day. I never did the whole girly thing well...
I also hate shopping. I just realize I put the stereotypical woman to shame
Your husbend must be most happy man in the world :D
I try to let him be. :)
What about when you wake up in the middle of the night, think you are late, get up, shower and get ready, go out and see that you have 4 hours before work..
That happened to me before when I was in school. Woke up the entire house in a panic. It is funny now
Something like that happened to me a few years ago, when I was in schoool.
I had to take an important exam and I just slept too much, and as one of the imagines in your posts say, the amount of sleep I was getting was too suspicious, so when I looked at my phone I saw I only had one more hour to go to my school.
Now that's okay, too bad my school was 5 km away and I had to walk to get there. I never in my life ran 5 km, but I did then, and God, I don't wish that on anyone, because if you're not used to running a lot, doing it for such a huge distance will destroy your legs. I walked like a cowboy for a week.
At least I got there and passed the exam.
Amazing story. It made me laugh so hard. I know that feel. I ran home from school the one day (I don't run as a rule) but I had to get to something (don't remember what it was) my school was about 7km away from home and mostly uphill... I nearly died.
I have like a built in alarm...I never sleep late. There is always something that wakes me up in my house...so no sleeping in EVER!
I'm generally very good at waking up early even before alarms but I was feeling sick last night and this morning so my body was fighting me
Love sleeping in xD Followed you!
You sound like my husband. He always tells me he is not a morning person. I'll complain and tell him that I only woke him at like 10 or 11 (over weekends), he always replies with it's still morning. If he didn't have me he'd probably never get to0 work on time
The panic is much worse when you wake up twenty minutes before writing exam because you hit the snooze button believing you will just close your eyes another 5 minutes
That 5 more minutes move is dangerous. I did that once, woke up 3 hours later, fortunately I had nothing to do but pick up my sister after her exam that day.
We all know it is dangerous yet we still do it..(haha)
Snooze buttons were made for the 5 more minutes day... hahah
I like the way you think. Followed!
Thank you. A word of caution though, I once accidentally turned the alarm off thinking it was snooze. Never do that
My advice would be to set an alarm in the bathroom etc which forces you to stand up.
