The Face Off
Cameron exploded towards the three men with such speed that only the man in the middle had enough time to react. He exploded up into the air, just missing Cameron’s charge.
The ‘screecher’ was not as lucky as Cameron then teleported slightly sideways and smashed his fist straight into his throat, silencing him instantly as his throat and spine shattered under the speeding force. Bits of bone exploded out the back of his neck and his limp body went tumbling through the grass and dirt until he slid to a stop, leaving grey blood splatters and smears along his path.
Cameron had already turned to face his next target. Barely managing to turn around Cameron was on top of him and wrapped his arm around his neck, crushing it instantly.
He collapsed to the ground as Cameron looked towards the first man that had leaped out of the pipe. It was then that Cameron noticed a vehicle quickly approaching them from across the field. He immediately sensed it was Captain Moss and he had four of his officers with him.
He turned his attention back to the remaining man who was moving quickly from side to side, squaring off against Cameron. Then the man launched his attack. He leaped high up into the air towards Cameron’s position and exploded down towards him. Cameron attempted to dive to his right however he got caught off guard with the man’s speed coming down.
He crashed into Cameron’s shoulder with his left knee, rolled himself into a ball and tumbled off to the side.
Cameron stumbled slightly backwards from the impact. Other than that he looked unperturbed by the quick attack. The man was facing him on his haunches, the palm of his hand placed flat on the ground while the other gripped his knee.
Captain Moss and the officers came to a sliding stop a few paces behind his attacker as he sped towards Cameron a second time. This time he came straight across the ground, leaving a cloud of dust in his wake. His body angled forward as he charged.
Cameron had however picked up on his pace and as he came within reach Cameron made a slight forward lunge, grabbing the back of the attackers head, smashing his skull into the ground. He was killed instantly as half of his head became buried in the soil from the force.
Cameron walked through the cloud of dust still hanging in the air towards Captain Moss and the officers. The grey blood of his attackers was dripping from his right hand and dirt had settled onto his blood splattered body.
The Faceless Man had been watching in frustration as Cameron picked off his disciples. He decided to move in with his entourage. He wasn’t far off and would reach them quickly.
As Cameron carried on the fight against Captain Moss and the officers, the Faceless Man had quickly moved in. Cameron killed two officers. He snapped the one’s spine in half, leaving him in an unnaturally twisted position. The other officer was met with a crushing blow to his chest as Cameron teleported himself through the air with a flying knee straight into his upper body. The officer’s bones fractured and punctured his lungs as the impact sent him flying a few paces back, crashing into the SPD vehicle. The grey blood dripped from his mouth as he tried to get back up however collapsed shortly thereafter.
It was only Captain Moss and two more officers left. Shots were being fired at Cameron throughout however he was able to evade each and every round.
As Cameron got ready to launch his assault on the last remaining men he heard the ground behind him explode. Instinctively he teleported several paces away towards where Stella had been lying, looking towards the same manhole he'd pulled her from earlier. Bits of concrete and soil filled the air where the pipe had been. As the dust and debris settled Cameron saw something he thought he would never see again. It was an all too familiar sight he’d seen in Stella’s lab a little while back on an old video recording.
Standing there, he saw the man he only knew as The Boxer. His features seemed as though they’d morphed further. His unnaturally big neck and arms seemed larger. His fists were the size of soccer balls and his upper body was covered in thick, pulsating veins. He stood slightly hunched over and his bloodshot eyes were staring straight at Cameron.
More men appeared from the hole however it was not just men. Cameron noticed two women as well, standing aside a man cloaked in black. His hoody made it difficult for Cameron to make out his features however he could sense that this was The Faceless Man.

Great Post Mate!!!!!
Thanks @numbnut68! Much appreciated :)
great post brother @therneau.
Thanks @giftedwords. I'm glad you appreciate it :)
Yeah brother @therneau! Keep up the good work.
Interesting story. This is the first chapter I have read and now I absolutely have to go back to start at 1.
Awesome! I hope you enjoy the rest and should time be limited there are some recaps you can refer to as well :D
Thanks for the links @therneau, I have some catching up to do:)
Please do @lizelle. I've been taking my time with the chapters now. Adding a bit more detail to it. Unfortunately, since it's in creation, it takes time so the chapters flow slowly especially now that I'm putting more focus into improving on the detail, flow etc. :)
I finally caught up with Cameron's story, very graphic 'illustrations' with words @therneau, I could see this as very good material for filming. You should check out @hardfork-series, they run writing contests, you have the imagination to do their type of stories. I'm no good with this, my stories are all based on real happenings. Keep on writing xx
Thank you @lizelle for the wonderful comment :) I guess that has kind of been my aim in a sense. To create a story that'll slot in well with filming too. I'm glad you picked up on that! I'll definitely go and check out @hardfork-series. Thanks!!
Closing my eyes and giving an upvote. Haven't had a chance to read further than Number 4 yet but I hate spoilers haha.
Lol, cool man. All good :) I'm sure you'll appreciate the extra effort going into the detail of this one, once you've caught up :) I'm planning on catching up with yours over the weekend. Cheers
Cool man. I hope to add to mine by the end of the weekend... or sooner...
