@steemitpatina first off I have to say that you have a natural talent for writing. My Mum to had the highest kind of cancer you can have but she didn't just have that she had some other rare disease. But after 10 years of chemo and many doctor visits they finally removed the port form her chest and said you are cured. Its a miracle how she survived while others dropped like flies. There is something that can be said for the power of the mind. I think my mum was able to will he way to health. I don't think it had anything to do with medication. In fact I feel the medication is what causes a lot of the problems.

That's wonderful @tonypeacock! It's so great to hear of people who survive and go on to thrive after a cancer diagnosis. I agree with you about the meds. My friend actually went off of her chemo a few months back because it was killing her. Alternative treatments, of course, cost a lot and have no chance of reimbursement, which is sad because they seem to work so well for some patients.
