There lived a king who had a slave that is always full of Thanksgiving to the Lord.
No matter what happens, he always tell the king to thank God for He knows all about what happens.
One day, the king went to the bush with the slave for hunting games, the animal that they wanted to kill went into struggle with them, at long run, they killed the animal but the king lost one finger.
When they got home, the king called the slave, and asked him thus :- if God knows and He's alive, why does he allow him to lose one finger? The slave answers thus :- God knows about it but let's thank him for what happened.
The king got annoyed and sent the slave to prison.
Some days later, the went alone for hunting and he was captured by the barbarians.
They wanted to kill him and sacrifice him but the deity rejected the king because he's not complete and he's an abomination to offer incomplete human being to the deity because the king is not having one finger, so he was released and allowed to go.
When the king got back to the palace, he sent for the slave that he imprisoned and told him his experience, the king now agreed that God should be given thanks in all things because had he been that he didn't lose his finger, he would have been sacrificed.
The king now asked :- why would God allow me to put you in prison?
The slave answered :- if you didn't put me in prison, I would have gone to the bush with you, and the barbarians would have sacrificed me because I am complete.
Now, we can see that it is good to give thanks to God in all situations because He knows the beginning from the end and knows the end from the beginning.
If things are not working now, God knows why, maybe He's preparing you bigger challenges than the one you know.
In all things, let's cultivate the habit of giving thanks to God always.
