... a narrative about dealing with the problems.

in #story7 years ago (edited)

When I was a little I had a diary. I remember ,one day something happened, something that upset me so much
that I grabbed my father's lighter and burned it all up.
That was a big mistake.
I'm not sorry for the memories, because I still keep some of them in my head,
I'm sorry for the words that describe the way I was thinking back then.
I can't turn back time, I wish but I can't.
Back then I didn't know that rash decisions should be considered.

I came to visit my parents with my kids for a week and guess what ?!
I found my mother's notes. This is a big thing for me.
I wanna share something with you.

Carrot, egg and a cup of coffee. (author unknown)

A young woman visited her mother and told her about the life and the difficulties she had to overcome every day. How tired she is to fight life. She had the feeling that the moment a problem was resolved came a new one on his place.
Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word.
In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl, and finally poured the coffee into a cup. Then she turned to her daughter, asking, "Tell me, what did you see?"

"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," was the girl's answer, when her mother told her to get closer to the carrots, and when the girl saw the carrots soft, the mother asked her to take one of the eggs and break the shell. When the girl does it, she finds that the egg has become solid.
Finally, the mother asked her daughter to taste the coffee. The girl smiled and enjoyed the rich aroma of the coffee, then asked, "But what does that mean, Mom?"

Then her mother explained to her that everyone has different ways to face the same misfortune: the boiling water. Everyone reacts differently. The carrots were hard and strong, but the boiling water made them soft and weak. Then the eggs, which were fragile at first, and their thin shell protecting the liquid inside, after having spent some time in the boiling water, their interior became firm. Only ground coffee beans remained themselves. After being subject to the boiling water, they changed it.
"Who are you from? the mother asked.
When misfortune hits your door, how do you react?
What are you - carrot, egg or coffee bean? "

Remember, "Who am I?" I am a carrot that looks strong, but becomes soft and loses its strength before the pain and misery? Or maybe an egg that has a soft heart but changes when the situation gets hot? I am a coffee bean that actually changes the warm water - the fact that leads to its pain - When the water gets warm it releases its taste and aroma If you are like a coffee bean when your things look worst you will become the best you will change the situation around you when time seems darkest and harder. They are greatest, if this takes you to a different level? How do you run a trouble? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

Can you have enough joy to stay soft, enough obstacles to stay hard, enough to keep yourself alive and hope enough to make you happy?
It is not necessarily the happiest people to be the best. What they are doing is to get the best out of themselves when life places an obstacle on their way. The brightest future will always be based on the past. You can not go forward in life if you do not forget the wounds and the troubles in the past.

Thanks for stopping by and have a greatness in your life.
