Then, the Son of the King of Spain loaded, on his white horse, the Ogre's breastplate, and set off at full gallop for the king's Louvre.
“Hello, King. Drink. Here is the wine that restores youth."
The king emptied the bottle. Immediately, he became young again like he was at eighteen.
“King, here is the head of the Ogre, two toises high, who was the misfortune of this country. King, here is the armor proof to the sword, the bullet, and the cannonball. And now I need your daughter in marriage."
"Son of the King of Spain, the breastplate is not my size. In place of the heart, there is a hole as big as a fist. And then, who proves to me that the armor is proof against the sword, the bullet, and the cannonball?
"King, that’s right. Tomorrow, the test will be done at sunrise. In the meantime, prepare everything you need for the wedding."
The Son of the King of Spain jumped on his white horse and set off at full gallop.
After three leagues, he stopped in front of the shop of a blacksmith, who was striking iron with his seven apprentices.
“Blacksmith, look at this breastplate. Is there enough iron and steel to forge two?"
"Yes sir."
"Blacksmith, I will pay you well, and your seven apprentices will be happy with my gift. At work. I intend to have both breastplates tomorrow, three hours before sunrise."
"Sir, you will be obeyed."
The next day, the two breastplates were forged three hours before sunrise.
“Blacksmith, here is a thousand pistoles. Apprentices, share these thousand others."
Then, the Son of the King of Spain adjusted the most beautiful of the two breastplates, loaded the other onto his white horse, and set off at full gallop for the king's Louvre.
“Hello, King. Here are two breastplates, one for me, the other for you. Choose."
"Son of the King of Spain, I choose the most beautiful. I choose the one you are wearing."
“Well, king, let’s put it to the test. Draw your sword, and strike hard."
The king drew his sword and struck hard. The breastplate was sword-proof.
“King, discharge your two pistols at me at point-blank range."
The king discharged his two pistols at point-blank range. The armor was bulletproof.
“King, order your gunners to fire a cannon at me."
"Cannoneers, fire."
At the sound of the cannon, the Son of the King of Spain fell. But he immediately got up, agile and cheerful.
“King, the force of the ball has knocked me down. But I have no problem. Look."
The armor was bulletproof.
“And now, King, take my breastplate, and give me your daughter in marriage."
"Son of the King of Spain, you have earned it."
The wedding took place that same morning. We have never seen or will see the like. The next day, the Son of the King of Spain took his wife on horseback to his country, where they lived rich and happy for a long time.

I am writing translations of folk tales that I found in public domain French books, so that people who do not understand French may enjoy them too.
As expected, the Son of the King of Spain was able to prove to the king that he earned the right to marry the daughter of the king.
An armor that is cannonball-proof? Seriously? Even nowadays I don't think this could exist. But, in the folk tales, many things happen that are not credible. Sword-proof or bulletproof, OK. But cannonball-proof, it must be magical
And now that his daughter has gone to Spain, what will the king do? He will be sad, that is a given. Maybe he will die from a broken heart, having lost his wife and his daughter no longer being here. And who will succeed him as king? I guess there will be a struggle between the members of his family.
Yesterday afternoon, we went to buy groceries. We left Kormi in the garden of Kati's mother's house. But we were not yet in the car when we saw Kormi coming out of the cemetery. Kati suspected that there was a hole in the fence between the garden and the cemetery, but we did not know where. The dog went back to the house, then we left for the grocery store.
This morning, I was in the garden with Kormi and people were visiting the tombs of their family in the cemetery. As Kormi is trying to protect us from foreign people that she thinks may attack us, she went through the hole in the fence to bark at these people. She only barks, she never tries to bite. So, I was able to see the hole in the fence. We closed it temporarily and we will do a better job later.
This afternoon, we went back to the vineyard house to work a little more on the garden.
Here is a picture of the house. Because it is a small house, the stairs to go upstairs have been added outside.
We did clean up the right part of the garden.
We collected some green tomatoes. The small green peppers were planted too late, so they never grew to be ripe.

It's cool to see how the tale has ended on a happy note. The son of the King of Spain was able to prove himself beyond a reasonable doubt that he is capable of being with a lady of her choice.
He completes all the three tasks and also get the king the armour he has ever wanted. At last he is able to marry the lady she has wanted.
Your dog really proves itself that he can protect you from any impeding danger. Looking at how he is able to bark at the people who came intruding.

Finally the story about to end . The son of the king of the Spain proved himself that he is a man of courage, honesty, bravery. He is fearless, heroic man . All of his good deeds and of his good kind heart he really deserve that Happy Ending. That's truly lovable. But the king I'm also sad for him but he must be happy in the happiness of his beloved daughter because parents want to see their child happy and if she is happy than definitely the king is happy . Deep down king also know that son of the king of the Spain is a brave man so that's why he gave him difficult trails and he never disappointed the king . At last after all that terrible task he got love of his life and live happily that's great 👍.
This house is exact at a peaceful and pleasant place. The area free of noise, tensions and crowdy ways . I like it and wanna live likely that place. The vegetable's seems healthy. Hope so you don't feel scared from cemetery areas.

I really wondered why the king would want the wine that restored youth. Anyways, that's not what is making me smile. I am smiling because the son of the king of Spain finally proved to the king's Louvre that he was capable of marrying his daughter. And he wouldn't have been able to achieve this if he was not a good and kind person. The part of the blacksmith got me scared a little bit but I knew he will deliver the best breastplate for the son of the king of Spain which he did. The king will be so lonely now that he has married his daughter off but since he is young again, he can still marry and have another daughter,lol! Although I don't blame him for not wanting to marry off his daughter, most parent find it difficult to make this same decision in real life too, that's why you see both parents and daughter crying on wedding days but it is what was designed to be.
Kormi seemed to be smart, and for her to have thought of protecting you from the foreign people wowed me. I love her already for that. You guys did a good job cleaning the garden, it looks more clean now and house looks nice too.

The tale ended in a good note, the Prince earned his beautiful princess by all the courage and strength he displayed. When I read the part where he asked the king to test the cannon of the armor I was a bit worried, then when I read that he fell down after the force of the Cannon hit him I thought he was injured 😂, but yeah thank God he made it.
Nice story with a happy ending but all the task was so easy for the son of king of Spain to pass, so there was no much suspense in the story.

If we talk about the story, I was amazed to read about how much strong was the armor. At modern day times inspite of great technology, our governments doesn't have strong armor like this one.
But this is a folk tale and anything You could expect from stories.

The trials were enormous but the prince of Spain was able to conquer because of his kind nature. Along the way, he helped anyone needing help, even also he showed his generosity to the blacksmith and his seven apprentices. I would say that he won because he was kind and generous.
I'm happy that he was able to marry the woman of his dreams after all the sacrifices made to make her his.

the prince asked for some time and he went to the person who made armour, he asked him to make an armour which will be perfect. on the next day in the morning, he presented the armour and asked the king to strike as much as he could, but he got no injury, finally, the king was impressed and he married her daughter to this brave prince.

What a happy ending! The Prince of Spain has proved his mettle. With his wisdom, he was able to allay the fears of the old king who felt that the breastplate was too big and with a hole in place of the heart.
He again showed kindness, this time to the blacksmith and his apprentices.
He also showed extraordinary courage by letting the old king test the efficacy of the breastplate on him. He proved that the breastplate was sword proof, bullet proof and cannon ball proof wow! He married his queen at last.
The old King must be a very difficult person, he got the wine which he drank and became young again. Now he wants the prince of Spain to test the breastplate for him to know if it can actually protect him.
The prince is wise by forming two breastplates, he knew the old King would go for the most beautiful and that was the one that belonged to the Ogre.
He was able to overcome the trials set before him and eventually marry the Princess.
In the end, the Son of the King of Spain proved his worth by acquiring the magical breastplate and defeating the Ogre, securing his marriage to the princess and ensuring a prosperous and joyous future. This is the way!

Just as we have seen in the story of today's, the one who was the son of the King of Spain was very happy with the marriage and the other king had fulfilled the conditions and the king was now ready.
I went to get my daughter married and as we know that in a marriage that is done from the heart, a person is very happy and is celebrating a lot and that's how everything is going on.
The prince was very happy and there was a lot of decoration, horses were decorated and many things were done and he was free to take the princess and the princess was looking very beautiful.
Exactly the same way a person has to go to get household goods and all the necessities of life must be present in the house. Protecting a garden is not easy, it is hard work. These tomatoes will set and ripen in a few days.
