Hello readers
Have you ever had a lucid dream?
A lucid dream is where you are dreaming but have some control and feel aware you are dreaming.
I remember having one where I was flying over a beach for miles on my own then came across a huge cliffside so flow over to it and as I got to the top I saw hundreds of people walking on the grass and some other people flying much higher than me :)
You can be in my dream if I can be in your dream :) join me some time lucid dreamers.
Thanks for reading and let me know if you have had similar dreams :)
Man..WhenI was in my teenage years I used to have them daily. I got to the point that I could slip into lucid dreams intentionally. I would imagine I was holding an object, close my eyes and focus on its texture, and before I knew it I was in my dream holding that object. Took lots of practice! The trick was not to get too excited once you start to consciously feel yourself slipping into a dream state. Flying was hard for me, I could only ever get a few feet off the ground, so I just started hovering everywhere.
Are lucid dreams manageable to our liking? Are lucid dreams a talent that comes by itself or can be obtained through consistent practice? Thanks for the explanation.
I used to have lucid dreams when I was a teenager. Haven't had one in maybe 15 years.
My wife has had lucid dreams where she wakes up and she can't move her body. She feels paralyzed and she realizes she is in a wake/dream state. She has felt like someone was in the room with her when that happened.
There is a guy called Art Bell who had a radio show years ago called Coast to Coast. He always talked about weird stuff like that. One time we were listening to his show and he started having callers call in about their lucid dreaming experiences. We found out that the exact experience my wife had is common to other lucid dreamers!!!!
Great post and great question!!
I wonder how many others on steemit have had lucid dreams?
I've had those before, they are terrible. Does your wife sleep with her arms on her chest? For some, it seems to cause nightmares. There seems to be some truth to it. Creepier superstitions say it's an evil spirit holding your arms down!
I've never noticed here holding her arms on her chest. There isn't much room on her chest for her arms if you know what I mean.
Lmao lucky you!
Hello :) I hope you have a lucid dream again soon and we fly together haha. I think your wife might of had sleep paralysis, Ive also had that :/ it can be really scary. Heres a post I did abut my sleep paralysis.

Thanks for joining in and I also wonder how many others have had the same lucid dream as me and to hear other storys.
I did control my lucid dreams and flew around as well. Wish I could lucid dream all the time!!!! I have there are ways to cultivate your dream control but I haven't researched it. I don't have any recollection of any dreaming at all anymore. It is very rare. Maybe once a year. Bummer.
I started having a lot of lucid dreams this year. I would just know something was off and to verify I would swipe my hand/arm through a wall to confirm I really was dreaming. It's pretty neat when it happens.
wow that sounds awsome maybe write a blog about it? I will read for sure.
I haven't had a lucid dream since I was younger, maybe early 20s at the latest. I feel like I had them all the time as a pre-teen and teenager though!
It could be such a fun experience (or scary, depending on what type of dream you're having!)
That is so true, I've also had some scary ones myself. I hope you have some more lucid dreams and the good ones <3
If I remembered correctly, they made a device that would induce a lucid dream...they meaning the inventors/innovators...sleep experts...
Interesting I will have to research this thanks :)
I have had one this year. The last time before that was at least 15 years ago. Really strange and I don't understand what makes it possible or if you can self induce.
I have no idea just sometimes I get them. I hope you have many more cool lucid dreams soon <3 Thanks for joining in.
I have had a few, but I have not been able to induce it myself.
I'm the same, I just get one every now and again and did not induce mine :) Thanks for joining in.
when I was young, I really interested in lucid dream and succeed several times...
but it was not that interesting like I thought... because it doesn't have 'unpredictability' . it's the most interesting point of dream I think...
In lucid dream, I can do everything as I want but, I have to think everything
and after all, it's just a dream... wake up in morning, it makes me too vain...
I've been able to stay lucid about 3 times years ago when I was trying. It's like being conscious and having different laws of physics. I tried to levitate 'Superman' style indoors and there was weak gravity pulling me down. I sat lotus position and was able to hover around the room. It's best to do when napping in the middle of the day.
ive had a lucid dream before. A goblin tried to eat me.... I survived
lol
