I am telling You a #story of my sister name mili.......
Eight years ago she moved from India to the UK after marriage, leaving behind my successful career and a loving family. London every morning seemed like a dagger that was slowly tearing my heart apart... killing her from inside.
she had no friends, no work and she couldn't stand the harsh weather. Several applications, networking efforts, internsip stints later, when nothing at all worked she went into a shell. she became quiet and whenever she spoke she was bitter.
Her husband and family kept asking her to start her own photography business (they thought that the pictures she took on there holidays, were really beautiful) but she just couldn't think she was capable of doing anything at all herself. she had completely lost the ability to make decisions.
One evening when her heart was so full that it would just burst, she sat down to ask herself what there was to lose in all of this for her... and the answer was "Nothing".
So she just sent an email out to many of her friends saying I m giving away some free photoshoots to build my portfolio.
Almost three years down... she haven't looked back at the depression medication her doctor gave her. she think they must have crossed their expiry date already.
And it's not because she was working or that she had money in her bank account every month.
Its because she had found family away from home in the many inspiring people she had met along this journey.
With two of those incredibly inspiring women Roberta Baneviciene Photography and Lisa McCormick Photography, she held a joint workshop last week. she was just sharing one image from that workshop here.
Thanks guys for helping her accept that home is where she make it. People are who you seek in them. Life becomes a mirror image of your greatest fears.
Overcome your fears then. Let there be no fear. Let there be delight.
Do something that will make you love and value yourself.
With love.....
