the guardians (short story)

in #story3 years ago

As he was running away from his mother, he heard the whispers at being following. He knew for sure that he smelled something. His mother had gone crazy and she wasn't making sense. She was hiding something and he could sense that. His mother was keeping secrets, he could feel it. He had to keep running, his mother was his biggest fear. As he was running, he felt protectors coming. He was not sure what they were but they were guarding him. He could sense that they were taking care of him. They helped a lot, they weren't his mother. They were protectors, guardians. He knew they wer

e special and he owed them his entire life. As he was running, he saw something in the distance, it was a dead tree. He knew this because he used to watch the trees when he couldn't sleep. He used to watch the leaves move in the wind and listen to the birds. It was a calming experience for him. As he got closer, it seemed like he started to feel a bit better. He could breathe a bit easier. In this time, the protectors were flying around him, protecting him from all sides. He was sure they were trying to beat away his fears. As he got closer, he saw a cave in the tree. As he got closer, he could feel his whole body relax. He just knew that it would help him sleep. He went inside, closing and locking the door behind him. He looked around, sighing. It was a beautifully decorated cave. It had dark subtle blue patterns on the walls. He knew that this was his favorite. It was a quiet, peaceful cave with warm natural light from outside. It was as colorful as any forest. As he was sitting down in front of the fire, he met the protectors for the first time. They were with him when he was a baby, and they were with him throughout his life.

As he was looking at them, they flew a circular pattern around him. They were watching as he described his mother for the first time. They had not seen her since his birth. They knew that it was not good to see them, but they knew he needed to. He needed to hear that she had betrayed him in some way, that she was bad and evil. They had to make him understand this so he knew that she was bad. They had to make him hear that he needed their help, that he needed them to protect him. They would do it for him. They were his guardians.

As they were circling around him, they could feel his confusion with sadness. They knew him, they knew every part of him. They knew every emotion he had ever felt. It made it hard for them to watch him so confused, he was afraid that his mother hurt him. He was afraid that he would be hurt. They had to make him feel safe and to trust them. They would never let him get hurt, they were with him and would always be.

As the birthday got closer, he was getting sadder. He was noticing that his mother was weird. She was acting like a different person. She was a stranger to him. She was a bad person.

He could feel his anger rising. He knew that he couldn't talk to her and he wasn't sure what he was going to do. He was prepared but he would have to keep thinking about how to proceed.

As he finally slept that night, he woke up soon. He was not sure what was happening. He saw his mother, she was clearly holding something. In the distance, he could see the protectors surrounding her, they were helping him. They were trying to stop her. As they did this, they all faded away. He was now standing in the empty cave, it looked like he was the only one left.

As he tried to wake up, it seemed like he couldn't. He saw his mother's hand, it was holding a big sharp, shiny knife. He was sure this was the day he would die. The birthday was close and the night was dark. It was a nightmare. He could feel his mind changing. He could feel himself slip into a different state. A series of unfortunate events changed his life.

Eventually, he was alone in the forest, hiding. He knew that he couldn't stay in the forest forever, hiding. He could not be alone in the forest, it had too many scary animals. He knew he had to move on, he had to find somewhere to live. As he left the forest, he was cold and alone. He was still ignorant of what was wrong, but he knew now that something had to be done.

As he ran, he found a house. He had to go inside to keep warm, because it was getting colder and colder. He slowly crept into the house, looking for the fire pit. Once he found it, he curled up near it, in front of the fire. As he was asleep, he had a dream. He was in the cave, looking at the protectors, they were coming back. They were mad. They were angry at him. The situation had changed, he was being punished. He couldn't do anything, he had to go through with it. At that moment, he knew the protectors didn't know he was there. He could whisper.

As he whispered, the protectors heard him. They came towards him, they were pissed. They were mad at him. There was no point in escaping, they would find him anyway
