If a picture is worth a thousand words, a catchy title could be worth a million.You need one delicious title to get the fishies to bite, though!Now, how do we accomplish this, you ask? You could:
- Evoke viewers to form an opinion.
- Pose a question that they crave to hear the answer to.
- Provide value for their time — tips or suggestions that they may benefit from.
Ultimately, you just want your potential audience to give your blog post a chance — which requires them to at least be interested in what you have to say.
So, “if you want to catch more fish, use more hooks.” George Allen Sr. had it right (even though he meant actual fishing!) — the craftier our titles are, the more readers we can “hook” into viewing our work. Just DON’T be deceptive or misleading about it, because that’s shady, and you’re better than that…I hope!
