The journey to greatness is most times littered with bits and bits of different phases; small wins, big loses, big wins, big wins, small loses. Just like a ride on the roller coaster, the journey scares the living out of us but we never want to get off. For those with the power to dream, there's always that next high to look forward to. To those who aren't scared to lose, the focus is always more on the journey itself rather than the outcome. Whatever side of the coin you find yourself, your journey is always going to be unique and that's the exciting part.
Having a unique journey means there'll always be some people out there who would love to read/hear your story. Everyone loves a good story and stories don't necessarily have to have an happy ending to be a good story. The level of details, the sequence of events, the actions and corresponding outcomes, all these make stories good.
Recently, I made YouTube a vacation spot and I've been chilling with a guy named Gary Vaynerchuk. This dude has the highest level of energy and enthusiasm I have seen in a long time. He is one of those who give more importance to the journey than the destination and he believes you should document every step of the way so he does exactly that with his vlog.
He isn't however the first or only one to understand and practice this concept of documenting your story and so the question pops up; why is it important? Why do people even bother?
Maybe because if you're documenting your journey, then you're probably more aware of your situation and every action you take. It's probable that these attention you all of a sudden are now giving to yourself will have a way of opening your eyes to things you'd have otherwise missed, and it could also provide you with valuable lessons or facts that you can always refer to and build on.
But before you begin documenting, there has to be something to document; your journey. You have to realize who you want to be and what steps to take to achieve it. One major problem many of us have is that we overthink stuff and it is linked to fear; the fear of the unknown. There's really no point being scared of what you cannot control. The unknown is what it is; unknown!
Folks who do not give up on trying different stuff don't take negative outcomes as loses but rather as lessons. It's interesting because the events you expect should weigh them down only seems to spur them on with renewed vigor. And it's what they all do! They go through life dealing with ups and downs and when that win finally arrives, there's always a fascinating story to tell.
The exact same way we are drawn to superhero stories because they are able to do those things we can only daydream about; these successful people go one step further than the spectators to actually act on their dreams and also act on the well known knowledge of not giving up. They ultimately become superhuman and one to look up to. As long as you don't stop trying, you are not a failure and while you are at it, think of all the lessons that can be learned from your actions. They won't be possible if there's no story to share.
In this present age, information is no longer the problem but the will to act on the myriad of information floating around. Actions differentiate the actors from the spectators and when you realize that your legacy is all you've got, you'll maybe want to document it more.
The world we live in is one where information is consumed by the second and the ways our stories are being told are a lot more diverse. No more having to wait for a publisher to sign off on your book before your story can be heard. Who even wants to wait so long for a book when they can live day by day with you? When you can share live videos of your daily activities on Snapchat, or tweet away, or put up a polished video on YouTube and some nice pictures of whatever on Instagram.

Hey @fisteganos,
you are so right. I see much of Gary's talk in your article ;) Keep it up.
It's been an interesting learning experience and I feel I didn't do enough justice talking about it but the good thing is that I'm still learning!
That's beautifully said. But some people still prefer to read a story from the book than using the internet for that.
Oh yeah definitely, and the book will still show up eventually but the idea of waiting for the book to be published shouldn't be an excuse to not do anything in the meantime.
Thats a valid point.
Hello @fisteganos
Glad to hear from you again. I am an avid fan of Gary Vaynerchuk and what I love most about him is his passion.
My favourite quote from is :
This quote have been my driving force and it was one of the things that enabled me survive in Steemit and in the outside world.
People join Steemit and complain about everything without actually going out there to work on their craft and interact with people.
Growth takes work and sometime the process seems slow, but once you have passion for what you are doing you will overcome.
Love your post bro, I know you like to read so check out Blinklist, it is a good App for getting detailed summary of books. You can get the App on Playstore.
@ogochukwu
Wow! You must have been following him way before me because you just said those words perfectly! There's a lot to learn and although I intuitively know some of these things, it feels different seeing someone live it out.
I'll check the app, hopefully it's on App Store. Thank you
A veces solo se trata de perseverancia y dedicacion pero hay cosas que la vida te enseña poco a poco @ogochukwu
Wow. This is a very nice post, well arranged and infact the word usage is classic. Aspiring to be writing as good as this bro. Thanks for sharing.
Haha! It was a little though getting the thoughts out as they were just all over the place. Thanks for the complement. Just keep writing and don't believe the hype lol. I don't still get it when people say I write great and all; I still look for ways to improve. That's the key.
The key is unlocking the right door😀😀

Breathe your soul, you're on my beach at sea
This inner heart is a holy love
I'm going to die
Only love you
Crave my soul I love
My soul mates with me
To die, I want to be with you
This is my point of view
My soul mate wants you
A love of death separation
You and me are one
Love each other
After my sad sadness
Life is now yours
Que buen post, de eso se trata de creer en uno mismo para surgir. Saludos desde venezuela.
