Travel photography to me is capturing a story around a subject that makes the viewer stop for a moment or two to think about what the image is telling them!
Before I took this photograph, I stood quietly for a few minutes thinking about this small space and began to wonder.
Did someone live and work here? The layout of the objects implies the person likes tidy and order in their life. Perhaps, the striped coloured door and hanging bongo drums suggests the occupant is a hippie or a gypsy who’s lead a colourful life. Lots of plants indicate he or she has a green thumb and a ‘Greenie’ who eats organic fruit and vegetables and might like to smoke a little pot.
To me it doesn’t matter who lives here, what matters is that I stopped for a brief moment and wondered.
Amazing frame. Loved it. To me it indicates that a couple who never fought lived here. Or perhaps, rarely fought. The frontage is well preserved and they let their kid scribble on the wall. It oozes character and love. Great photo and thanks for the post!
Thanks 😊🇦🇺
