Streamity project focuses on establishment of a powerful cryptocurrency exchange which will include a broad range of services and ensure benefits from cryptocurrency markets development, while avoiding complications and risks arising from cryptocurrency ownership, transfer, and exchange. A powerful StreamDesk aggregator ensuring exchange of cryptocurrencies for fiat currencies under smart contracts without intermediaries is the key element of Streamity project. StreamDesk prototype represents the main concept of the service (available online). Streamity services will include news and analysis, educational, and investment resources. All services mentioned above will provide essential assistance to investors with regard to management and accumulation of crypto funds. Each Streamity section will represent an independent business environment and produce income from completely different types of digital services." (Whitepaper)
Main Positives:
A reliable and user-friendly decentralised exchange is something that the cryptocurrency community needs. There is competition, however so far no one has managed to monopolise this niche. If Streamity moves quick they could potentially be the ones taking the cake. Streamity also offers direct getaways from Cryptocurrency to Fiat and vice-versa.
There will be 2 upper tier packages for offering if the user stakes STM tokens. This should lead to people holding onto the tokens and not sell depending on price fluctuations.
They are planning on offering other services to the users besides just trading. Signals, signals based on specialised traders, investment statistics, ICO schedule etc.
There is a presented business plan with clear figures about numerical projections. This is rare to see for ICOs.
Main Negatives:
This company has only been founded in May 2017. Hence, since it's in its infancy, the risk on investment is higher than more established companies.
KYC needs to be done if you want to utilise the platform. For some investors this defeats the whole purpose of decentralised exchanges - anonymity. However, it is understandable that this needs to be done in order for their business to remain sustainable and be able to develop with legal interventions from different parties. In the whitepaper it states that funds will be kept in escrow before the transaction is completed from individual X to individual Y in order for the identifications to be verified. Is this decentralised or not?
GitHub hasn't been active in over one month. This project is still in its infancy, hence it would be good to see how hard the team is working on it.
Team Highlights:
Andrey Zolin (Advisor) - Worked relatively high positions at PepsiCo and Pernod Ricard Rouss.
