Walking is not only good for your physical and mental health, but also a great way to spot things you wouldn't normally see if you were in a car.
I spotted these two artworks on a side street down Magill Road and I thought they were pretty cool. Even the 2nd photo still stood out to me, because it was so aged and worn. You can hardly make out what the original art would of been, but I found it interesting that the way it had weathered appeared to display an eye peeking through the rubble.
One of my favourite places to explore in Adelaide is Magill Road. I love it's collection of old antique stores and quirky street art hidden down beautiful side streets.
Even if you aren't there for any particular reason, it's nice to wander through the various stores filled with items so old, there is an eerie musk of age and history. It's amazing to think someone cherished many of the items, and one can't help but daydream about what their lives entailed.
Inside one of the awesome stores. I particularly liked the adorable decrepit little sausage dog (waddling away whilst I tried to take a pic) :P
I thought this mannequin was a real lady! stare at it long enough and I'm sure it'll move!
It was a dreary grey day in Autumn and I couldn't help but take a photo of the street and it's beautiful colours.
Got lost one day in Port Adelaide and spotted this amazing and huge artwork.
Took these photos whilst in Melbourne (prettymuch the home of street art) and thought they were awesome.
Mobile art spotted in Townsville! haha
Hope you enjoyed.
Thanks for your time,
Christiana :D
Hi Christiana :)
Great to see another Adelaide steemian (mallsballer).
We're meeting up on the last Thursday of each month, in the beer garden of the Jade Monkey in the city, from 6pm. We're looking at a pretty huge turnout for the first one, this Thursday 25th.
It'd be great to see you there :)
Thanks for the invite @mattclark, I will keep that in mind. It's nice to see the Adelaide force strong :D
Next one is Thurs 29th :)
Hi @missrollas, I really like your impression of the little shops on Magill road and I totally agree with you on its quirky and rustic character. Thanks also for bringing the great street art that is present in our city to Steemit, I think its important that we put Adelaide on the steemit map : )
thanks for the feedback @byrongrant. I agree, Adelaide is so underrated! Always nice to try and capture the little things :)
