That's when we realize the culture and education of the people, in my country you leave that system to secure and when you return you can not find anything that you left
There are bars on windows, as a standard, just 15 minutes from where I live... and they still get broken into! It's sweet , inspiring, and sadly almost surreal to think about just shutting off the lights and walking away. That's a beautiful level of trust and respect . Resteeming and tweeting and facebooking this post! :)
We do have dogs here, but they are soi dogs - belonging to nobody and they don't care about people at all or guard anything. I was just at the atm and a dog was right in front of it. When I walked up to the machine, he just got up and walked away. I'm going to be in trouble if I ever leave this country with all my new habits :)
Lots of trust is involved, but maybe one or two things can go missing.
Also, Sharon, we created a Discord server for foreign Steemians in Thailand to connect and chat. It's the place where we can organise meet-ups. Do you have a Discord profile yet? Here's your invite: https://discord.gg/R7GusbA
I cannot believe you are telling me this - I cannot get to discord. It is blocked and I have tried 10 times and spent hours on it. I get some kind of spinning thing that won't stop or let me use it. Someone told me it was either Thailand or my wifi provider.
America too - this is new to me, and I have more examples of it. I wonder why some cultures can do this and others cannot. This is a poor neighborhood and another common thing is that many restaurants and food carts give poor people free food - all they have to do is ask. I have never seen that anywhere I have ever been before.

lol - same with me from back in the states. They have everything locked down over there.

I think they kept something as a security. I think there are Dogs kept.

That I guess is the beauty of Thailand, in Israel we lock up everything. Twice.

I think this is the strength of a close community
Great photo. Have you eaten at that food stall?
I have a few times - they make chicken which I do not eat and pork which I do - it is very delicious and inexpensive :)
Thailand is sweet city
Yes, it is. Lovely in every way.
its really wonderful activity. #Thailand is beautiful and nice city, your working about security checking at street photography is so good.

Looks can be deceiving. One has to look behind the curtain to see the full picture of security at work.
