Sleep tight
I don't know if the situation has changed much since 2011 but when I lived in Athens, one of the feature of the city which was the most striking was the number of stray cats and dogs in the street. I remember especially one dog which was constantly on Syntagma square near the MacDonald and even inside the MacDonald sometimes as if it was its own home.

In the case of those three dogs, they obviously tried to sleep the heat of summer off on the sidewalk. I find it quite funny and cute, but I don't forget that these poor dogs are mostly alone and left to their own device and have to fend for themselves. The case of the cats is a bit better, because from what I could see every single street had its own grandmother putting out some food for them once in a while.

Nice picture... Someone said me a few days ago: right place right time... :) and they look tired... Maybe all day they run after cars and bark them... :)

It's the same in Turkey, makes my heart break. If could I would turn my house to a shelter. But on the bright side we don't have shelters that kills animals and almost everyone loves animals and try to feed them, pet them. I have a cat living with me at home but 4 stray dogs in the factory I work for that I (and almost everyone) feed everyday, 2 stray cats under my apartment that I feed daily and spend at least 1 hour petting.

Poor dogs, they have a life they enjoy, an interesting story, even though dogs are animals they have a group, have a togetherness

Don't know if it worse for them in the summer or in the winter on days like today in Croatia, with streets full of snow :(
Agree with you that it's a bit easier for the cats - they're natural hunters and independent and poor doggies need an owner... Cute threesome, anyway :)

Well, in Venezuela we have the same problem because our economy is getting worse and worse so people do not have money to feed them. I think it's very sad because they deserve better. By the way where are you from?

in Russia it's a big problem. there are so many homeless anilamals, and authorities don't take it seriously and don't give funds to biuld places for living to them.

Haha this is so accurate! In 2016 I also saw in Athens a lot of stray and lazy dogs sleeping!
