RE: Lost in the Chaos of Central New Delhi – Street Photography

I found most Indian cities quite chaotic, even the smaller ones.

I lived and worked in India for 4 years. (I'm a bit beyond the backpacking age.) It was a great opportunity to travel to numerous parts of India, and even to a few neighboring countries.

I did not see it all, but I saw plenty.

Nice, This was a teaching job?
Where are you basically from?
Also wanted ask if there are any other you know of to get certified as a travel teacher?

I had been a teacher for many years in Japan, but when I went to India, I worked as an editor at an outsourcing company.

I'd never heard of that TEFLEN "college." With TEFL certificate, you have to check out the schools. Some of them may have decent courses, but the certificates might not be accepted by certain ESL schools where you may apply.

Others are reputable, but in fact pretty lousy. I took a TEFL course in Toronto, affiliated with a major university, but the course was really, truly, horribly bad. Of the 10 students, 7 of us wanted to drop out. Eventually, only 3 of us did. The other four had to stick it out for various reasons.

So, it's a tough call. Many schools around the world will not hire you without a specific certificate.

Then again, if you are a capable of teaching (regardless of certification), then oftentimes any half-decent certificate will do.

Do you know Dave's ESL Cafe? One of the finest online resources for ESL jobs and related stuff.

Good luck.

Thanks.
Well, The whole idea is to travel and have a part time job to sustain.
i'm an Mechanical Engineering graduate, currently working as video editor on a freelance basis.
Will that do?
or do you recommend me to get a certification?
The schools that do not require certificates pay us?
