This photo was taken during a large protest all over the country in 2012, where Brazilians manifested against the unbridled corruption that plagues the country.
For most of the demonstration I saw peace, but in the end it looked like a war. Amidst gas bombs, rubber bullets, black blocks and police officers, I was able to record this photo, when thousands of protesters tried to enter the Assembly of Rio de Janeiro, while few policemen protected themselves inside the building.
I used a Canon 7d, 18-135mm lens, ISO 1600, f / 4.5, 1 / 30s
