When the money comes, what next? Will it change you positively or bring out the monster within? How money changes or perspective is entirely up to us. We can decide do to good or bad or do nothing at all.
People believe there are only two kinds of deed when in actuality there are three:
- Do good
- Do bad
- Do nothing
If you are familiar with the concept of the good, the bad and the ugly, doing nothing is actually the ugly in this scenario.
I will use a rainfall illustration to differentiate between the three kinds of deed (good, bad and nothing). My hope is that we see the evils of doing nothing and focusing on doing good.
In doing good, you see a person drenched from head to toe under the rain and you slow down and offer a lift and save the person from the cold and moisture.
In doing bad, you see a person under the rain and splatter water all over the person and probably laugh about it as a bonus. Something happens to that person and it's on you.
Ugly in this case is very simple. Imagine some is stranded in the rain, you have a vehicle and choose not to help because of the fear of cleaning your leather seats or car jacking, let's assume the person dies of cold or has an asthma attack, you did nothing at all and that worsened it all.
I will share a true life experience, my dad and I were driving sometime back and a driver was recklessly trying to overtake us suspiciously. We had heard of tales of carjacking happening in almost similar formats so dad was intent on not letting him overtake.
I had to prevail on dad to let him pass and we later found out that the man was rushing to get to his wife who just went into labour and we discovered this when he stopped a few seconds later after overtaking and rushed inside a building. Dad slowed down and we saw a pregnant lady being ushered out of the house.
If because we didn't want something bad to happen, we refused to allow the man overtake, the baby might have been born in the house and what if there was a complication?
Don't let the fear of the bad stop you from doing good. Don't allow money or material things stop you too.

Yes very true but we live in a wicked world where everyone needs to be careful with their dealing. A lot of people has been hurt badly or even killed while trying to do good, reason why some don't even help due to personal or shared experience. We should all trade carefully when trying to do good

Captivating story
Summarily, Money brings out beauty and beast in people
Events and experiences prompt us to act in fear.
But everyone is different and deserves a chance.
We must understand that not everyone has bad intentions but we must be careful in order not to fall victim of predators.
It is good to be good
Your personal story sure speaks alot about the fear of the bad. ..most times we allow our past evil bad events, hapoenings in our life to cloud our present day judgement , we just think it's all the same and don't even give it a second thought of doing good...am sure a lot of us would have a rethink after reading this post
Money always change people to be opposite of them selves, it's only few that still mantian that good heart.
I once had a friend that turn stranger just because she married a wealthy husband, our friendship change because she start driving expensive cars, live in a mansion, mingle wit big ladies then she notice that am not in same level with her.
That is work of money
But their is still good wealthy people that money have not change their ways of thinking and their ways of seeing the poor,Average people
Thank you for this insightful post, indeed i gained something. Like the saying goes, money brings out the true color of a person, it is very difficult to see people act the same way when they had little, I pray i fall into the good category always. Definately going to resteem this.
