This would be one of the top ten most wonderful experiences of a lifetime for me and I can tell it is for you too. The whole caring and sharing system is perfect. The question for me is, why so early in the morning? Is it because of the tide?

Exactly! They need to do it during slack tide so that they have plenty of room on the beach. The swim, which will be coming up also used slack tide, so the little ones can make it.
It is the most wonderful experience! Perhaps you will make it someday. It is so worth the time!
