10 Tips to be successful in anything

in #succes7 years ago

This list is the summary of the best tips to start something out of nothing and try to build something.

I hope to be useful to you, those who hope to get rid of banality and create something new.

Be new

Madonna, David Bowie, Lady Gaga. What do these artists have in common? They did something that no one else did. They got up and said, "This is me, whether you like it or not." The success of these people has not come from trying to please everyone; It did not come from tracking the trends. He came from doing something new.

Ignore the tips

If a friend tells you to throw yourself into the sea, are you doing it? I know, it's a cliché, but that's the idea. Many of us would throw. One of the best tips tells you to ignore everyone. You are wonderful because you are different from the rest of the world. If most say X, you have to think Y. Maybe you remember Digg. It was a huge phenomenon, a kind of Facebook before Facebook. Then they had venture capital and changed the way they worked. The result: Before the changes, Digg earned $ 164 million. In the end, Digg was sold for $ 500,000 in 2010.

Love what you do

Many people complain about the idea of working for hours. Over time, you'll see people complaining that their blog is not popular: but they only post an article from time to time. Not many people can say they spend 14 hours a day doing something they really like. If you are passionate and love what you do, you will be successful.

Do not copy success

Steve Balmer, from Microsoft, has laughed at the iPhone and said: "He does not have a keyboard. ... We sell millions (...) of phones every year: Apple sells 0 phones per year." McDonald's invented McDonaldland, and Burger King thought it was a good idea to copy through the Burger King Kingdom. McDoland's made $ 27 billion in 2011, while Burger King was under three billion. That's what happens when you copy something. If you want to succeed, do not copy success. Create yours.

Failure

Fear of failure is probably number one in stopping someone on their way to success. If you think you will fail, you should not even start. This also applies to the activities you are currently pursuing. "When we started Listvers, we created five different blogs as topics. After a week, none were successful. In the second week I closed the other blogs and I only focused on Listverse. If I let the failure stop me, you would not have read it now, "says the author of the article on Listverse.

Focus on your followers

Facebook. You love it or not, it's a big part of the internet. "We always had buttons like Listvers to help us promote, but recently I noticed something. Every day, about eight hundred thousand pages were viewed here. And the number of likes barely reached a few hundred. This is not because we are not popular, but because most of our readers are not the followers of the "like" button.

Be small

We all tend to think big, but that can inhibit our success. If you want to write a book or create a product or the next phenomenon on the internet, focus on attracting a small audience of devoted fans.

If you work hard for those few people, they will reward you by making you known. The famous jewelry store Tiffany & Co. Was an exclusive brand. They were exclusive when they were young. When they decided to grow they launched a new line of products they wanted to sell in the middle jewelry stores, and the result was almost bankrupt. Now they came back to what they were before. Calvin Klein is not so sensational now that you can buy lingerie from any store; But at first they could enjoy exclusivity.

Be the first

Be the first to do something and you are already halfway to success. Seth Godin is a wonderful author, whose books I recommend. One of them speaks of the leader of a city in India that has no electricity. The man, a very old man, bought the first flashlight from the sun. He was a hero in his city - everyone was watching him.

Be remarked

In every aspect of your life: Be remarked. Be the person who turns heads. If someone asks for a dollar, give them ten. If you want to start a website, do not publish an article a day, publish four. Put everything you have on what you do. It's a lot of work, but in the end you will be the one that everyone will remember.

Start right now

You can put your ideas into practice right now. You have no excuse to wait. Make someone say "Wow!" Start that book you want to write. Start the blog you always wanted to have. Everything requires little change and a new day to transform our lives.

Thanks for a little rainy-day motivation.

I think my three favourite points are 'start right now' 'be small' and 'be remarked'.

The old saying goes 'tomorrow you will wish you started today"! Being small, its like finding your niche and being remarked, besides really 'making your mark' and being in peoples faces, I like the more giving aspect. Being remarked for ones kindness goes a long way in the long run :)

You're welcome . Thank you for the comment
