Why? What then?

Freedom. This would include the alarm clocks you mentioned as well as not having to worry about money. A sense of big accomplishment that perhaps could lead to confidence in yourself in other a areas of your life as well.

Hm. Perhaps. At the same time, 500K Hive wouldn't amount to such a huge sum in the current market. If markets went on like this, how long would that freedom last? How long until you started feeling trapped in this new freedom?

I'm just arguing Devil's advocate here, but I think confidence comes from other places. Otherwise, how do you account for all the insecure, creepy rich people out there? But it's an interesting response. Thank you for sharing what success would mean to you :)

I am not sure. If I would have 500000k HP and I would be spending even 8-10k eur a year I think I would live well for almost a few decades. Considering that 8-10k eur is more than we are spending now it could last even longer. Also if prices would go a bit higher I would change Hive to HBD and enjoy a stable 15 percent increase. To be honest I think that we could live for a good while just from that 15 percent without taking anything from the main stack.

Like I said I think that that confidence would come from accomplishment rather than just getting rich. For example a good basketball player who has won the euroleague/nba would still have that accomplishment even if he would lose his wealth. Same goes for a famous musician who has created multiple hits. So for me 500k achievement would be perhaps less about immediate value of 500k and more about all the investment of time, effort and money that it would take. For instance it took me 7 years and some investments from real world to reach 10k HP by the end of last year. So reaching 500k really would be like winning a championship/ olympic gold medal to me.
