This article is bloody awful.
Sure, the business model of starbucks of starbucks is successful. If you like sub-par coffee and a glossy superficial experience then go ahead and support them.
Personally, I value a unique experience and demand better coffee. That's what makes me feel rich.
Lol.
Perfect. By no means have I suggested they're "superior" - and I maintain full respect for others' tastes and preferences.
I'd be interested to check out the places you frequent. I do enjoy the unique experiences and change of good coffees, though appreciate Starbucks' consistency, whereas have found it difficult to find alternatives with parallel quality overall. Of course, there are some great hidden gems out there - and YES, the vibe in those places can generate an entirely different feeling of richness and may be well-superior to Starbucks in their own rights. Just more difficult to come across - though I suppose that's part of what makes them so great when you find them... :-)
In most decent cities and even small towns there is an abundance of coffee shops better than Bucks. I've been living in Melbourne which is like one giant steaming delicious coffee shop.
Coffee shops special to my heart are Shades of Brown in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Baba Boudans in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Green Park, League of Honest Coffee, and a million others in Melbourne. I love Australia.
Go outside your bubble and you'll find real people in better spaces playing better music. And YES, this principle can be applied to religion.
I've heard Melbourne as quite a thriving scene, could imagine there'd probably be some pretty sweet spots there.
Those do look like some cool ones with soul. If you ever come up to visit Bali, check out Revolover in Seminyak - it's pretty bad ass, one of the island's most unique for sure...
Yeah it was.
I always suspected that starbucks music had subliminal messages, now I know for sure.
I'd rather pay local companies for freshly roasted coffee, and support my towns economy instead of some huge corporation.
lol. Exactly! The music is terrible at the bux!
