They are kind of like cute little pets, instead of just plants.
This is a photo of a succulent we've had for about 9 years, indoors. It seems to like darker conditions more than light. It's not looking the healthiest at the moment because of the cooler weather. But we are rather attached to it, and I think it has personality. Any idea what kind of succulent it might be, if it is one?

It's a Sanseveria of some kind and yes, it is a succulent and a shade-lover. You have figured out what it likes in the last 9 years

Hahaha, it only took 9 years, i'm a quick learner. Thanks for letting me know what it is.

Actually, not many people can manage to keep a potplant alive for 9 years. They are easy but too much sun will kill them
