My intex 16x32 after 3 years rambling on

in #summer7 years ago

I have always thought that pools and all would be much better if they was round i was looking for a cheap way to hop into a pool without paying what you can buy a house for . So i looked at the intex pools . I have had it goin on 3 summers. This winter i didnt let the pump run so it turned into a frog swamp

Cleaning is always a chore being it is so big . It would be nice if there was some kind of way to have all the water run into a central location or if i just had let the pump run over winter a few times per week. Overall this pool has served well plenty of room. It has a major flaw . The sorry ladder. The ladder if a fat man or woman decides to jump around on it well just say if they are trying to ease into the pool their goal wont be met. I got a good ladder to go into the pool last year and hopefully next year will add the wrap around deck with a grilling place on the back. These pools are a salt water pool. I would absolutely not go with anything except . Yeah you can say that the saltwater eats the metal . But lets face it these pools are a temp pool they are more than likely not designed to last 30 years or so any ways . If i get 5 years of swimming out of it . I will be happy and will just buy another pool. Level it up underside a bit better then put up that new one . For now its sitting being filled .

I bought mine in winter . All these pools go on sale obviously because no one wants to swim when the air is cold as ice . They come with everything you need except the salt. And the people to put them up . I had 3 people to help me put it up . I leveled up for about a month. ( Remember i get in after dark a lot of times ) I used a tiller to till to clay pan then leveled it all up with sand . It has settled and i have had to replace stepping stones but overall if anyone is looking for a good pool to enjoy these square ones are great. If i had more time i would take it up level it again this year and do the same next year . If you dont have access to some way to pack the pool sand . It will settle especially when you have many tons of water on top of it The 12x12 steppers that broke i dug down around the leg and poured 2 bags of cement and now dont think that i will have that problem any more this is a much easier fix to me than replacing stones every year .

Just got enough salt to put the pool back into commission. Takes around 9 bags of 40lb bags to start it up. Gave it a dose of shock to jump start it. This will be the only thing that i will have to do this year.
