Canon PowerShot S3 IS and Bird Photography

in #super-zoom6 years ago

Canon PowerShot S3 IS came out in 2006 and was a 6 Megapixel, 12X zoom Bridge Camera which was favourably received at the time. Those specifications seem extremely basic when compared to the modern cameras with over 100x zoom and advanced technology. In the digital camera world thirteen years is a long time. I still have the camera and four AA batteries would have me snapping away within a few minutes. I also have a Canon Poershot SX49HS permantly in my car and use it often. My new piece of kit is a Nikon Coolpix P900.

I share these to show what we used at the time and to encourage others to use their "Superzooms" for Bird Photography.

Here are some of the first images I took.
