The 2018 Monster Energy Supercross series has not gone via the script for Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM rider Alex Martin. News has just been released that he will not line up for any more rounds in this years Supercross Championship. Martin picked up a wrist injury in a heat race in San Diego which forced him out of the night racing.
The team hoped the 250 SX West break would be enough time for him to recover and come back fully fit but that has not gone to plan. Unfortunately it has surfaced that they discovered another fracture to his scaphoid on top of the wrist issue which will take him out of action for the time being.
This is a blow for Martin as a crash at the season opening round in Anaheim saw him walk away with a fractured collarbone and now he has to sit out the remainder of the season. He will however be setting his sights on the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and i think there will be some fire in his belly after dealing with the issues he has faced this year in Supercross.
Good luck and heal up mate, I look forward to seeing you back in action soon.
