Last weekends 250 SX East/West Showdown certainly lived up to the hype and the man with the bragging rights is none other than Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider and current 250 SX West red plate holder Adam Cianciarulo. Many thought that his fellow Pro Circuit East Coast counterpart, Austin Forkner, would take the win after such a dominant start to the season but it seems Cianciarulo had the heart to pull through. He did not make it easy on himself though and this ride has to be one of the stand out rides of his career. A strong start is what we have come to expect from both Forkner and Cianciarulo so it was no surprise to see them running 1-2 for the holeshot but man check how close they were into the first jump! eek haha
Cianciarulo was forced to back off the throttle to avoid wrecking into Forkner and that allowed GIECO Hondas Chase Sexton to make the move and push Cianciarulo back to third. What came next is a masterclass in determination and hitting your lines. As the laps tick off you have to keep the thought in your mind that you can pass the guy in front. Don't listen to the doubts, just focus on hitting perfect lines and keep that guy center vision. He certainly did and man what a pass coming out the woops! Awesome race and a very well deserved win
