The supermoon phenomenon occurs twice this month, which is January 1, 2018 and January 31, 2018. NASA predicts, the best supermoon will occur on January 31, 2018.

This rare event will show a total lunar eclipse and can be witnessed from western North America across the Pacific toward East Asia.

There is no need for glasses or certain tools to see this phenomenon, everyone can see it with the naked eye. Only, not all regions can see the supermoon at a time.

The best time to see the supermoon is shortly after moonrise or the moon's appearance of the horizon.

Supermoon occurs when the full moon is at its nearest orbital point to Earth, so it looks 30 percent brighter and 14 percent larger than when the moon is at its farthest point in its orbit.

Another supermarket will follow on January 31, at a distance of about 26,500 kilometers closer than usual.

Both supermoon is part of the supermoon that began December 3, 2017 ago. Scientists say, very rarely there are two supermoon in a row, let alone three.

The last full moon of January is also known as the blue moon, as it is the second full moon that occurs in a month.

Scientists say the best time to see the supermoon is when the moon rises and before sunrise, when the moon appears on the horizon. This makes the moon look bigger than other things that look at night, like buildings and trees.
