"Come with me and you'll be, in a world of pure imagination. Living there, you'll be free, if you truly wish to be"
One of the first things that amazed me about the Surface studio was how thin it was and how sturdy and fixed the hinge is when you lower it down. It's been several years since I used a PC and that was Windows 7, I used to be a heavy insane PC evangelist until I met someone.
This device brought me back feelings to the reason I switched to Apple. The creative motivation resonating from the tool and simplicity of its design, the funny thing right now is it's coming from a Microsoft Product.
My philosophy always resonated with Alan Kay where he says people who want to make good software should make their own hardware. That's why Microsofts stance on making their own hardware caught my attention with the Surface Studio. It isn't HP, Acer, Dell, Toshiba or some frankenstein fusion of all of these but one, just one and it's Microsoft.
The only quip I have is the dial falls off, yes it does, sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. But I find myself loving the dial which I would assume if the dial was a 3D space navigator it would be even more amazing.
So yeah it looks great and feels great. But if you ask me. I'm still using my Apple product. Why?
Apps: Final Cut, Logic, Garage Band and Motion.
If I can find a way to move on from these apps I probably wouldn't mind.
Also if you're going to comment an app. Please make sure you're aware of the content of the apps I listed which boasts an insane library of loops, effects and plugins Apple gives you for free.
So yeah I love the Surface Studio. I want it, but I can't use it hahaha 😂
