First of all Happy New Year from the team behind Astral Wars. We hope this year will be as fruitful for you as we intend it to be for us. Now there has been tons of work being done behind the scenes and we have lots to show. However, for the sake of more consistent communication, each post from here onwards will be dedicated to a particular topic. The topic for this post is to announce the crates' discounted sale for the upcoming Open Alpha release.
The post below will cover the type of crates included in this sale along with the drop rates, and finally the prices and availability of these crates. The sale will be limited, capless for all users and be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Crates
As we inch closer towards the open alpha, crates are the major source of getting cards in Astral Wars. While you can get cards by directly buying them in the marketplace, they are more expensive. The other way is to get them through quests, however, the consistency of getting cards this way is slow. So you are reliant on crates to get those juicy cards and who knows you may pull a mythic rarity foil card which you can only buy at an absurd price at the marketplace.
But buying and opening crates can get expensive, so we decided to provide a relief period for the early players where they can use their regularly airdropped $STELLARUM to buy these crates at a severely discounted rate. The way this sale works is through opportunity cost.
By using the information within this post and your self-assigned budget you can work out the best combination on how to get a head start.
The information will consist of drop rate, type of cards and the quantity with the sale.

Mutated Cards
This power system is different from upgrades which come later in the beta which have also been teased here. The mutation that happens during the draw is RANDOM and will affect only mech cards for now. It can affect stats like battery cost, Might, Energy or Range and nothing else. It CANNOT add abilities. It can give you a card randomly from any rarity, faction and trait as long as it is a mech card. These cards can only be gotten from the black box, certain event quests or through Creation relics.
Please note this is a late-game collection and for mostly difficult content as such is NOT recommended by us to buy first. You can use this in PVP but once used you as a player will be on a different leaderboard from other players. You can still match up with the others to show them their place.
This special leaderboard is only available once you draw a mutated card from the black box, and only mutation card owners can view the card in their collection.
Sale Instructions
Transfer the desired amount of STELLARUM to @astralwars by clearly stating in the memo the crate you are buying.
Example: If I buy 1 black box, and 1 VA box, I would transfer 70,000 STELLARUM to the @astralwars account and state in the memo:
"1 black box and 1 VA crate"
MISMATCHING MEMO AND STELLARUM TRANSACTIONS WILL BE IGNORED. Please note there is NO CAP on this sale. Buy one type of crate if you want or buy a variety, the choice is yours. We will be allowing peer-to-peer transfer within the discord by 30th Jan. Separate instructions will be dropped then.
This sale will last as long as stock lasts or when Open Alpha is launched. We are waiting for the FINAL signature so that our launcher does not get flagged by any Anti-virus. This could happen in 3 days or 3 weeks, but once it happens the open alpha will launch the very next day.
