The Lovely @eaglespirit is running this week's "Steemit Vision Quest". This week's theme is "Desert Wilderness" and I felt inspired to participate with a work I made in 2013.
The Vision I had when making it, was that of the soul adventurer, off to find paradise. Even faced with hardships, obstacles and potential failure. The nature and calling to explore must be heard!
I'm poor at documenting the making of my works. But this one is a combination of acrylic Paintings I did on linen. Added to multiple layers of other photographs through photoshop.
This image also gives me visions back to time I spent in the desert between India and Pakistan. It makes me long back to the days that I was roaming the world, free and on the move.
It also reminds me of my good fortune to have continually found oasis' and watering holes along the way. As an artist, my destiny is often decided by the grace of others. So for me it's also a vision of thanks.
I guess in a way, this artwork is mainly a call to GO FOR IT. In many cases our frontiers are not physical, so it's not always necessary to travel vast distances to broaden one's horizons. Face your challenges, have the faith and the courage to DO IT.
Bonus piece: Mixed media artwork I did in 2015
If you enjoy my artworks, please feel free to support and get in touch.
Come what may, come what might, keep walking towards the light!

Nice, I love how you relate them to the adventure of being an artist. I can really relate to this "As an artist, my destiny is often decided by the grace of others. "- so true! So awesome how Steemit makes it easy for people to support artists with "microdonations" just by upvoting!
Thanks Adam, it is indeed a great journey is it not? I do believe this platform is a means to support one another morally and financially. I definitely hope we can be part of a positive change :D

Beautiful work and description @artzanolino. You may call yourself poor at 'documenting', but when you express your vision as you saw it and allow it to flow - as I think you have - it is rich indeed!
...and to you too for sharing this powerful vision.
It got me to go an look at Google maps and wonder where....where... I looked around the Raj/Guj desert, both sides of the border, and wandered down to the Rann of Kutch :D
🚣
Thanks Barge!
How cool that you could wander through the desert like that! When I was there I was afraid to get too close to the border, the previous week two tourist were shotdown at the Pakistani border for accidentally crossing over... 😅
Was a really awesome trip, the city Jaisalmer also remains like a fairytale in my mind.
Thanks for the support and nice comment, followed you ✊🏽
Thanks @artzanolino, but to clear up, mine was a journey of imagination as I looked at Google maps after I had read this post, and wondered where you might have travelled. I have been both sides of border, but not done any criss-crossing in the desert where your vision is located :D
Ah, yes, the desert is mystical and beautiful in your creation, @artzanolino. These images of yours are so distinctly otherworldly, rich with striking imagery, texture, and mystery. We celebrate your Creative Spirit, and we appreciate your entry in Steemit Vision Quest.
