RE: SWIFTCASH PROPOSAL: 1 MILLION SWIFTCASH GIVEAWAY TO STEEM HOLDERS

in #swiftcash6 years ago

This could be a great idea, but I don't think the requirement for one post per month for the last 12 months is such a good thing. Not many people post that regularly. Some like to read other poeple's posts. Some take holidays. I wouldn't qualify and I'm on Steemit all the time.

Sort:

This practice where you need to participate to earn the benefit is becoming more common. Komodo's interest is 5% and they recently instituted the requirement that you must manually claim the interest every month otherwise your share goes to the miners.

Yeah but I think maybe one post per month in the past 12 months is a bit too much. There are some new users who would be excluded with a pretty good following. I think we need to change that rule with something more suitable and still keep it tough to create the biggest possible network effect out of it. After all, we're gonna give about 1.2% of the current supply away.

Fair enough! I'm open to re-evaluating that. But there's also one more thing I forgot to mention. Should we consider the SP that is delegated by the steemian or should we deduct that from the steemian's SP? What about the SP that is delegated to the steemian? Hmmm

I'd say no to SP that is delegated to a Steemian, because most of that goes to upvote providers. Including people's SP that they have delegated should be ok. It might include people who are investors only and don't really use Steemit for blogging, but that's not so bad.

But we want bloggers to resteem us not an empty profile with no follower! We're giving money away and we should get something back...

Good point. Maybe just don't include all delegated SP.
