RE: Synereo Community Hangout 78

Hi dana, i don't know how to private message.

You have grown an audience here. I'd like to commission a post. I don't want to dictate what you write. I'm looking for exposure and I'm trying to start a conversation about privacy and peer-to-peer transactions.

email [email protected] is you'd consider this and what kind of fee you think is appropriate. I can pay in steem, steem dollars or bitcoin (or other cryptos if you must)

Thanks

I think you should contact @stellabelle for that. She has a much bigger audience (over 1000 followers), and has the SecretWriter thing.

I believe you're offering a commission of 0.008 BTC ($5). I've blogged for pay before and I prefer Steemit's Casino style because of the possibility of big payouts, the fact that there are no word limits, the fact that I have full creative control and can write whatever I want. Steemit is the most fun blogging platform on the Internet in particular because it's not feeling like a job, but it's like play.

We can negotiate on writing for your blog but I don't want to mix "blogging for pay" with "blogging for fun" and Steemit currently is in the "blogging for fun" category. It just happens to at times pay out well but I also realize that these payouts may be temporary because the price of Steem could go down below a point to where it will not be profitable or sustainable to think of it as a "blogging for pay" platform and this is why I always say it's more important Steemit stay fun.

Here are some of my basic rules on reposts.

1) I have to appreciate your work. I won't repost your work if I don't find value in it.
2) Your views have to be either aligned with mine or interesting to me in some way. So for example Extie wrote interesting essays on Facebook for a long time, I told her about Steemit, and agreed to try to help her get a following. I offered her 50/50 split, she would get the Steem Dollars and I would keep the Steem Power. She opted out of that.
3) Not interested in commissioned posts on Steemit. The whole idea for me is Steemit should be fun and not feel like a job. If it starts feeling like a job I probably will get bored and not continue to post. If it's off Steemit then I might contribute as I've done for other blogs and e-magazines.

So I post what I want in my blog, and some posts people will appreciate, while other posts will not be appreciated as much. So to me it's like a Casino or a gamble or dice roll with every post. Of course I need the money but at this time my blog is more like a personal research journal, diary, for free expression, and at this time I'm just focused on building a base of followers, trying to build community on Steemit, and eventually develop friendships when Steemit has that capability.

Some of my posts will be serious. Some of my posts will be not so serious. Some will be focused on research, some will be opinions, or stream of consciousness. Any repost I decide to make will have to be a post I would vote up, and the reason to do it would have to be to make the original blogger popular because I don't want to be a reposter of other people's work primarily. In fact, with the new promote functionality it might just be easier to use Steem Dollars and popularize people's content that way depending on how much Steem Dollars you have and how much you value their content.

If you or anyone wants me to post on a certain topic and I haven't posted on it already, I'll consider it. I've posted on the topic of privacy recently, but these were my personal views on the topic. If you post on privacy and I find your post interesting, I might create a dialogue and reference your post in a future post.

I don't want you to repost my blogs.
I don't want to post your blogs as my own.
I don't want any of the money you make off the post.

I want to compensate you for the post on top of the money you'd get from steemit. This would be a marketing cost for me. I really don't even care if you cast my product in a negative light or don't see the value proposition. Others will but I need to get their attention.

obviously i'd want a link to my website but other than that complete editorial control would be yours.

Okay we can negotiate that. Is there a post I made on Steemit which you want to use on your blog?

If you use my posts on your blog, you have to link back to me on Steemit. I'm interested in marketing my blog just as you're interested in marketing yours. We would have to see each other as partners, equals.

If you're okay with these basic terms then we can go from there.

ok, lets talk about it and figure out terms by email. [email protected]

I'll continue to read through your steemit posts and we can touch base tomorrow if you have time.
Thanks!
